Anxiety is an emotional turmoil that is running rampant in our land today. From a Harvard Publication in June of 2018, it was estimated that over 40 million adults in the United States alone were suffering from anxiety. However, because of the awareness of it, there are many helps for anxiety available today. With the right approach it may possibly be conquered altogether.
Harvard Publication Statistics in 2018 were prior to the world wide pandemic. Taking into consideration the Covid 19 pandemic, as well as the political unrest, uncontrollable riots, etc., you could possibly double the number of anxiety sufferers. With the population in the United States in 2021 being 332,278,200, we are estimating those dealing with anxiety to some degree in 2021 to be close to one fourth of the population. Thank God there are helps for anxiety!
Anxiety has the potential to onset many negative mental factors. Some of these factors include fear, loneliness, guilt, depression, brain fog to the point of mental unclarity, and the list could go on. In addition to negative mental factors, anxiety can also contribute to many physical issues. Racing heartbeat, sweating palms and shakiness are just a few of the many physical factors contributed to the body system by anxiety.
Having dealt with anxiety many years ago myself, I have an enormous understanding and compassion for those that are experiencing it. Unless an individual has experienced anxiety, it is next to impossible to completely understand or know how to be of help.
Congruent to many fields of study on the subject of anxiety, and because I have dealt personally with it, I conclude that anxiety may, with the proper protocols, be conquered completely. I understand there are different levels of anxiety and that there are also unique helps that are individual for personal relief. What may help one individual dealing with anxiety, may not benefit someone else. However, in my years of study, as well as helping individuals who have dealt with anxiety, I have found one common factor that is beneficial to all.
Being assured that you are not alone in this dilemma and that you will get through it has been one of the most effective reliefs from anxiety and its many factors. Assurance is a simple, yet facile and proficient means of help. It’s simply another word for faith. And faith is another word for hope, both of which can bring an astounding and an enormous amount of healing.
One of the most valuable tools for building hope and faith was reading the book of Psalms, especially chapter 91. The Bible was my “go~to” for comfort during stressful times. Reading the Word of God (or even listening to it online) was so important in building my faith. That Faith gave me assurance that I would overcome. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 KJV
If you are facing anxiety and any of the above mentioned factors, just understand there is helps for anxiety. I want to encourage you that you can get through this. You are not alone and this too shall pass.
